Key Responsibilities:
Directing, coordinating, and scheduling the activities of sewing machine operators.
Examining finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
Training new employees on the operation of sewing machines and demonstrating proper work methods.
Maintaining and monitoring inventory levels of materials and supplies to ensure production needs are met.
Assisting with production forecasting and planning, including material requirements and labour estimations.
Equipment Maintenance: Overseeing the maintenance and repair of sewing equipment.
Identifying and resolving production issues to maintain efficiency and quality.
Preparing reports on production performance, costs, and inventory.
Qualifications & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in a related field like fashion technology, textile engineering, or production management is preferred, though not mandatory.
Minimum of 3-5 years of direct experience in garment manufacturing, with a focus on supervision or a similar production role.
Essential Skills:
Deep knowledge of the entire production process, including cutting, stitching, finishing, and packing.
Understanding of quality control standards and the ability to maintain high production quality.
Familiarity with operating and maintaining equipment and machinery used in garment manufacturing.
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team effectively to meet production targets.
Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate with team members, other departments, and management.
Excellent skills in identifying and resolving production issues and troubleshooting problems.
Ability to handle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and maintain organized production records.
Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure.
A keen eye for detail to ensure precision in garment construction and quality. Knowledge of and ability to enforce safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
