Garment Designer

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and design original apparel collections, including garments for men, women, and children.
Stay up to date with the latest fashion trends, materials, and techniques.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product development, marketing, and manufacturing.
Create detailed technical sketches, fabric and trim selections, and design specifications.
Participate in fitting sessions and make necessary adjustments to designs.
Assist in the selection of fabrics and materials for new collections.
Ensure designs meet brand standards and target audience preferences.
Keep up with industry innovations, trends, and competitor designs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as an Apparel Designer (minimum 2-3 years preferred).
Strong portfolio showcasing your design skills and creativity.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD).
Solid understanding of garment construction and fabric types.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Additional Skills:
Experience with sustainable fashion design.
Knowledge of pattern making and garment fitting.
Ability to sketch by hand.
Familiarity with 3D design software.
